The Charlotte Housing Authority employs some of the most skilled, dedicated and compassionate people in our community. For nearly 80 years, the Charlotte Housing Authority’s mission has been to provide safe and affordable housing for the city’s most vulnerable residents and serve them with compassion, dignity and respect. We serve a community that needs us at our best, no matter what is going on in the world around us.
We stand behind our core principles:
Commitment to the highest standards and exceeding customer expectations
Building relationships on honesty and integrity.
Being accountable to CHA’s mission, our customers, investors, partners, community and each other for the work we produce and actions we take.
We meet these core principles in adherence to local, state and federal law. In particular, the First Amendment which protects all of our right to address and redress matters of public concern. This fundamental right protects our lawful expression of differing opinions, and sharing of opposing viewpoints.
CHA’s culture of providing opportunity and inclusion is what makes us thrive. Our daily commitment to these principles is where we will continue to become stronger and better positioned to serve the Charlotte community.
